Reminders of Him, the Colleen Hoover adaptation starring Maika Monroe, arrives on Netflix in the United States on Tuesday, November 10. It had a theatrical run earlier in the year and then made its streaming debut exclusively on Peacock on July 10, so this is its second streaming home.

The reason is a window deal. What's on Netflix reports that the film is part of the first-window arrangement between Netflix and Universal for live-action titles, and in this case the film reached Peacock first. It is a good example of how the streaming calendar now works for studio films, with a title passing from one service to the next before it settles.

The story comes from one of the best-selling romance novels of recent years. It is about a woman who returns to her small town after a prison sentence and tries to reconnect with her daughter, while falling for a man who is connected to her past. I am describing the book's outline here, and I cannot vouch for every change the film makes.

I am not the core audience for Hoover adaptations, but I respect how reliably her books bring in viewers who do not usually go to cinemas. Netflix tends to surface that kind of film quickly, so I would not be surprised to see it on the weekly chart.

If you missed it in cinemas and never had Peacock, this is your chance. Have you read the book, and did you like the film?
