Kerala has a long affection for the everyman superhero, and Cosmic Samson looks like it has found a new one. The film is a fantasy adventure about a pizza delivery agent who is pulled into a hidden fantasy world, and the worldwide theatrical release is set for November 27 in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.

Abhijith Joseph wrote and directed it, with the story credited to him and Abhikersh Vasanth. Sandeep Pradeep leads, and one listing also names Mukesh, though that cast table was cut off, so there may be others. Sophia Paul and Manuel Cruz Darwin produce under the Weekend Blockbusters and D Group banners.

One listing has it on October 15, which is an older date, and I would trust the November 27 date that two sources agree on. No streaming platform has been announced yet.

The obvious comparison is Minnal Murali, the Netflix hit that proved a Malayalam superhero film could travel. Cosmic Samson is a different thing, more fantasy than origin story, but it is going out in five languages on the strength of the same belief.

November 27 also has Gunmaaster G9 and Yeh Prem Mol Liya, so it will have to find its audience. Do you want a small-town superhero or a big one?
