Arasan, with Silambarasan and director Vetrimaaran, is listed for November 6, and that date is the best supported fact about it, since several listings agree. The film was first shown through a promo in October 2025 that drew a lot of attention for Silambarasan's fierce look. It sits in the same world as Vetrimaaran's Vada Chennai and tells an untold story of a man with a dark past in the 1990s.

The cast is where the sources disagree. One listing names Silambarasan and Vijay Sethupathi, with Priyanka Arul Mohan, while another lists Silambarasan with Kishore, Andrea Jeremiah and Samuthirakani. I would not build a hype argument around any particular name until the makers confirm it, and I mention it precisely because this is the kind of detail that gets copied from site to site.

Vada Chennai was Dhanush's film, and it grew into a cult favourite after a quiet release. A film from the same world with a different lead is an interesting thing for Vetrimaaran to do. It will either widen the universe or invite comparisons that are not entirely fair, and I suspect it will do some of both.

The trailer dates are muddled too. Several YouTube results are called official trailers, but their dates are not reliable and at least one is a fan edit, so I am treating the promo as the only thing we can say for certain exists.

The first week of November is crowded in Tamil cinema, with Scene and Mookuthi Amman 2 listed for the same date. Which would you pick first?
