Three Captain Americas in One Shot: The Avengers: Doomsday World Series Promo

Marvel used the first game of the World Series to drop a new Avengers: Doomsday spot, and the hook is simple. Three Captain Americas in one room. Chris Evans's Steve Rogers, Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson, and Wyatt Russell's John Walker, with Paul Rudd's Scott Lang trying to work out what to call them and settling on Captains America. Walker gets the best line, something about having been Cap for a minute. Thor is in there too, and a later cut had Steve picking up the hammer again.
It is a good gag and the crowd it was aimed at will have loved it. The footage otherwise is brief, a lot of faces and not much plot, which is deliberate. The film opens December 18 against Dune: Part Three, and the marketing so far is leaning entirely on the reunion rather than the story. One commentary piece I read called the promo bait and asked where the movie is, and I do not think that is unfair.
I have not been excited by a Marvel film in a while, and this spot did not quite change that, but it reminded me how much I like Evans in the role. If the film has a reason for bringing him back beyond nostalgia, I am in. If not, it is still going to make an obscene amount of money. Did the promo work on you?
